Hospice to benefit from will-writing costs
Will writing 25 Oct 2010

Will-writing costs in east Lancashire could benefit a worthy cause next week (November 1st-5th), as a local hospice is to receive donations from solicitors giving their time in return for a charitable donation.
A spokesman from the East Lancashire Hospice noted moving house, having children and getting married or divorced are all important milestones that should inspire people to shoulder this important responsibility, advising: "Making a will can safeguard your family and ensure that, after your death, your wishes are carried out."
Part of Will Week, the scheme has been repeated in many other regions, where professionals work free of charge and pass the will-writing costs to local third sector organisations.
Earlier this month, a group of will-writing solicitors in Scarborough participated in a similar programme, earning more than £10,000 for St Catherine's Hospice, the Scarborough Evening News reported.
Individuals benefiting from such a service might also like to remember a charity in their will, offering further support to important worthy causes.
