Make a will 'to ensure loved ones benefit as planned'
Will writing 06 Oct 2010
Making a will has been recommended by one expert as a good method to ensure people receive the endowments to which they are entitled after an individual passes away.
A scheme that helps people
make a will free of charge has been launched by Marie Curie Cancer Care in conjunction with a legal firm, the Coventry Telegraph reveals.
Charity wills could benefit from the scheme, as grateful over-55s in the city may be inspired to bestow a gift on the donations-reliant organisation that helped them draw up the testament.
Legal adviser for the third-sector group Phae Comber-Jones advised: “A will written by a solicitor is the best way to ensure that your family, friends and favourite charities will benefit exactly as you would wish."
The Financial Times recently revealed
making a will can help people avoid "probate red tape", a move that could make the difficult time after someone has died easier to manage.
