Solicitor: Will-writing should be done by a trained professional
Will writing 02 Sep 2010

A solicitor has highlighted the importance of employing a trained professional to carry out will-writing, saying providers who "get it wrong" can cause very expensive and complex problems for their clients.
An expert in legal services for the elderly, Stephanie Rose advises: "Problem-wills can be very costly to unravel and can leave your family in disarray when they have to pick up the pieces, as problems generally only come to [light later]", reports getwokingham.co.uk.
She states weakness or irregularities in the will-writing process often are revealed once a person has passed away, making the difficult time after a death even harder to cope with.
Ms Rose claims trained solicitors are best for the important tasks of probate and estate administration.
And one of the most important things an individual can do before engaging a legal services provider might be to examine reviews of their work, to ensure a firm is trustworthy and has a record of high-quality performance.
A recent Panorama programme highlighted the dangers of a small but troublesome minority of unscrupulous will-writing outfits.
