Trust wills supported by Red Cross initiative?
Will writing 06 Oct 2010
Trust wills may be supported by a British Red Cross scheme, as part of a group of nine charities affiliated with November's National Make a Will Month.
Blogger Alix Miller notes Britons have many goals in life, adding: "Yet shouldn't looking after the people you care about and making things easier for them after you’ve fallen off your proverbial perch, be a priority?"
A
trust will might help protect the value of a property for future generations and ensure family and loved ones benefit as much as possible from an individual's assets.
The Red Cross reveals 25 per cent of its income in 2009 came from
charity wills, where people left a donation to the organisation in their testament.
This indicates the positive impact
making a will can have, not just for relatives but for worthy causes and important third-sector organisations.
National Make a Will Month will see solicitors offer
will-writing services free of charge, with the usual fee waived in favour of a donation to one of the nine charities.
