Will writing 27 Oct 2010
Will-writing jargon could be one factor discouraging individuals from drawing up a testament, as an expert observes millions of people have not yet done so "despite the importance of a will".
Brian McMillan, director general of the Society of Will Writers, notes "chief among the reasons" is natural aversion to considering the prospect of passing away, advising it is nonetheless "very important" to carry out the task as soon as possible.
Difficulty understanding
will-writing jargon might also reduce the likelihood of Britons seeking will-writing services, though the specialist warns the act is even more crucial for individuals with a partner and children.
He observes it can be "very distressing" to deal with the complex legal and financial issues caused when someone dies
intestate, a factor liable to make a difficult period even harder to cope with.
Unbiased.co.uk recently revealed the number of UK adults without a will was 28 million last year and the figure has already risen to 30 million in 2010.
