Will-writing victims turn to legal advisers
Will writing 24 Aug 2010

Will-writing victims who have been defrauded by immoral practitioners are turning to trusted legal experts in order to resolve outstanding issues, it has emerged.
The Swindon Advertiser reports a local law firm saw an immediate surge in enquiries after a Panorama programme examining the prevalence of 'cowboy' will-writing services.
One expert commented: "The problem is made worse by the fact that will writers are not regulated as strictly as law firms or financial service companies, which traditionally help write wills."
Aired on August 9th, the TV documentary might have made individuals aware of the importance of seeking out reputable professionals when it comes to will-writing and probate activities.
High-street companies make up around ten per cent of the market and some people may be attracted to them due to special offers or lower fees.
Many experts stress the vast majority of will-writing providers give honest legal service and argue the actions of a few should not bring the whole sector into disrepute.
