Woman faces debt after legal challenge
Will writing 13 Jan 2011

The importance of making a clear and binding will has been highlighted by a case that left a woman in debt and seeking
legal advice.
Dr Christine Gill of Northallerton overturned her parents charity will in court but is now facing significant debts as a result, the BBC reported.
Originally, Dr Gill 's parents gifted their £2.4 million estate to the RSPCA but this decision was overturned by the High Court in 2009, with the charity mounting a filed legal challenge against the decision last year.
As a result of the inheritance dispute, Dr Gill has spent her life savings on a legal challenge.
She said: "I now have substantial debt to cope with and whether I see any money coming back to me or whether I have to find a little bit more I don't know. It's just another waiting game."
In addition, Joe Jackson, the father of Michael Jackson, last year began a legal battle that involved him
contesting probate on his son's will.
