Bequest 'allows High Woods Preservation Society to plan for the future'
Will writing 14 Oct 2011

A donor has made the High Woods Preservation Society a bequest that will allow it to plan a number of significant projects, highlighting the benefits of leaving money to charity when
making a will.
The annual meeting, which was held in St Mark's Church Hall in Bexhill, discussed how the money should be used, the Bexhill Observer reported.
Among the proposals that were mooted at the meeting included the provision of picnic tables, improvements to the signage in the area and a possible extension to the Humphry Smith Disabled Trail.
Jane Baker, who made the bequest in her will, was thanked for her generosity and said that it would help the society to plan ahead for the next year.
Recent research published by Remember A Charity has found that it is typically smaller, local charities that get the most benefit from bequests by those making a will, with larger, national brands falling behind these organisations.
