Brothers involved in wills and probate dispute
Will writing 08 Mar 2011

A man who was involved in a heated dispute with his brother over
wills and probate issues surrounding their father's inheritance will not go to jail.
Despite the individual threatening to kill this sibling, a judge this week ruled that he should receive a suspended sentence, the Coventry Telegraph reported.
Mohammed Alan, of Spon End, Coventry, said that he would kill his brother during an interview conducted after his arrest and also in an emergency call to police.
However, Judge Christopher Hodson ruled that Mr Alam should be given an eight month jail sentence that would be suspended for 18 months.
Mathew Barnes, the barrister defending 43-year-old Mr Alam, said that the offence on February 5th came about as his client was intoxicated and "at a very low ebb in his life".
The importance of
making a will and informing its beneficiaries of its arrangements was also highlighted by a dispute between tow stepbrothers. The Daily Telegraph reported that Jonathan Fry and Martin Densham-Smith both spent a lot of their money fighting a legal battle over an estate.
