Free will writing advice: How to make the probate process easier
Will writing 31 Aug 2011

One commentator has advised people that they can make the
probate process easier for their relatives after their deaths by
making a will.
“… Simply because even if the will did nothing other than appoint an
executor at least there would be somebody whose job it was to get on with things,” Toby Harris, of Toby Harris Tax Consultants and The Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners and (STEP) tutor for the STEP Certificate in Will Preparation, said.
In addition, Mr Harris said that one function of a will is to outline what should go to whom, but before this is decided executors, possibly more than one, should be appointed.
Free will writing advice was also given by Paul Sharpe, chairman of The Institute of Professional Willwriters, who said that people can choose individuals to become the executors of their estate who are not their will writers, such as family or friends.
