Lawyer advises people to make a will
Will writing 03 Feb 2011

A lawyer has spoken out to highlight the importance of
making a will.
Legal expert Chris Partington told the Manchester Evening News that people should not put off this task as it is essential that they plan for their deaths.
He said: "It is probably the most important document you will ever prepare and sign because you can't come back and re-do it if there's a problem."
Mr Partington said that although many view will writing as a "very dusty, taboo subject" that they would prefer not to discuss, this is far from being the case.
He said that the recent BBC TV show Can't Take It With You serves to show that people should talk with their family and friends now to avoid any surprises or arguments after their death.
According to the legal expert, making a will means that a person can choose their
executor and a guardian to care for the interests of their children.
In a recent case, Philip Howard failed to become the beneficiary of a will in a legal battle against his father Sir John Howard-Lawson, which showed the importance of using a
professional executor service.
