Pets to benefit from wills and probate process

It has been revealed that many people who
make a will decide to include their pets in the document.
New research from More Th>n Pet Insurance showed that animals are set to receive £26 billion after the death of their owners.
The study found that around 7.3 million animals will be gifted £3,500 on average in their owners' wills.
In addition, the research discovered that over 20 per cent of people wish to leave their pets their home.
A spokesperson for More Th>n told the Mirror: "It’s only natural that owners are concerned for their care."
Furthermore, the Belfast Telegraph reported that 35 per cent of people are planning to make a will that leaves their pets over £10,000, with almost 40 per cent revealing that they are going to leave their pets more than a close family friend or relative.
In addition, it was recently revealed that when Alexander McQueen decided to make a will in which he made provision for his pets.
The late designer instructed that his pet dogs should receive £50,000 to provide for their care during their lifetimes.
