Seek 'professional legal advice' before making a will

People who have decided to
make a will have been advised that they should seek professional help when compiling this document.
Kate Handel, a local member of Solicitors for the Elderly, told Clickliverpool.com: "People aren't always aware of the complexities and assume
wills and probate work are really straightforward. It can be, but this isn't always the case."
She suggested that to avoid any problems arising people should use professional advice, which will also save them money and time over the long term.
Ms Handel added that by having a will professionally drafted people will save cash on inheritance tax and will also assist will beneficiaries avoid paying care fees.
In addition, Shaun Law, head of Home Insurance at Hastings Direct, urged people to make a will, saying that failing to do so was akin to travelling in a vehicle without a seat belt.
He said that those who do not create this document are leaving their children, pets and possessions unprotected.
