Those who decided to make a will with Gainsborough firm urged to come forward

The Society of Will Writers has asked some people who decided to
make a will with one Gainsborough firm to get in touch with them.
It said that vulnerable and elderly people who hired Minster
Legal Services to help them write a will and did not get these documents should come forward.
This is because the firm stopped trading in March when director David Hodgson unexpectedly passed away.
After this happened, representatives from the firm left files from the company outside of a Doncaster will writing company, who got in touch with the Society of Will Writers.
Then the society collected the material and has contact former Minster clients whose names are in the files to let them know where their documents are.
"What is of greater concern to us is that many of Minster’s clients, having paid several thousand of pounds in many cases, believe they have a trust or a valid will which in many cases they do not," a spokesperson for the society said.
Experts have advised that people should create a will as soon as possible to make sure that their assets are distributed as they would wish after their deaths, and should also hire a reputable firm to help them create this document.
