Will beneficiary honours gran's legacy
Will writing 23 Mar 2011

A will beneficiary and his brothers who were given portions of their grandmother's estate have decided to honour her memory in a novel way.
Martin Philips and his siblings Kevin and Andrew have decided that about £40,000 of the money directed to them when their grandmother decided to
make a will should be used to establish a new nursery, the South Wales Argus reported.
Esme's, a private day care nursery, will open its doors in Newport in June. The facility has been named after the trio's grandmother Esme Handley, who died last year. The former head teacher passed away in August 2010 when she was 89 years old.
The nursery is set to be a family affair, with two of the brothers' partners acting as its managers.
Mr Philips said: "We just knew this was the best way to remember our grandma by having an ongoing legacy to give children in the area the best start in life."
The importance of
making a will was also pointed out by Gareth Jones, a legal expert, who said that people have more sizeable assets and property that they want to give to their loved ones.
