Will-writing is being neglected by couples
Will writing 08 Nov 2011

Some 66 per cent of people living together as a couple do not have a will, according to new research.
A survey of 2,000 people co-habiting and married adults in the UK by Confused.com has revealed that over half of couples in the UK do not have a will.
Over a quarter of people surveyed also admitted they would not be able to afford a funeral if their partners died.
Mathew Lloyd, head of life insurance at Confused.com, stated: "Having a will is a sensible option towards providing for the future."
"There seems to be a myth that unmarried partners are automatically protected but this is not the case," he continued, urging unmarried couples to write a will to protect their partner in the event of their death.
More and more people in the UK are choosing to live together and buy property before getting married or instead of nuptials.
Consequently, it is vital that unmarried couples write a will to ensure that their partners have rights and access to their respective estates.
