Will writing services news: Heir of Nikos Kazantakis named
Will writing 03 May 2011

A court has made a ruling about who should own the rights to the work of Greek author, Nikos Kazantzakis, a writer who made the decision to
make a will.
The country's supreme court said that Patroclos Stavrou, the son adopted by Eleni Kazantakis, the author's late wife, is the heir to Zorba the Greek's writer's assets, the Guardian reported.
Mrs Kazantakis became acquainted with Mr Stavrou in 1967 and made him her heir and son when he was 55.
Those looking for
professional will writing services have been told that the ruling is the latest turn in a long running disagreement between Mr Stavrou and his family and fans with relatives of the late author.
Yorgos Stassinakis, who runs the International Society of Friends of Nikos Kazantzakis, said that Mr Stavrou had not shown enough care for the writer's works.
" ... A large part of his oeuvre remains unpublished and many of his most important books are out of print, unavailable even in countries like France where he lived for years," he commented.
In another
wills and probate disagreement involving adoption, Princess Gesine and Prince Jonathan Doria Pamphilj, two orphans adopted from England, were embroiled in a court battle over the estate of their wealthy mother.
