Will writing services news: Tony Curtis's last wishes contested
Will writing 01 Apr 2011

It has been claimed that some of Tony Curtis's children are aiming to fight a legal battle to recover a share of his fortune after he decided to
make a will that excluded them.
According to the Daily Mail, one of his six offspring, Kelly Curtis, has launched legal proceedings after all of her father's estimated $60 million (£37 million) went to his sixth wife, Jill Vandenberg. Another of Curtis's daughters is also considering taking legal action over the matter.
Curtis, who died last year, set about
making a will five months before his passing, but his children believe that there were wills written before this time that included them.
Despite this, his latest will read: "I acknowledge the existence of my children . . . and have intentionally and with full knowledge chosen not to provide for them in this last will and testament."
The Some Like It Hot star instead left his fortune in a trust and named Ms Vandenberg as its administrator.
This case highlights the importance of making a will and informing family members of its instructions to avoid any possible disputes.
