Woman makes a will to benefit Harold Camping
Will writing 03 Jun 2011

The family of a woman who decided to
make a will leaving most of her assets to Harold Camping have expressed their upset.
Doris Schmitt left the majority of her estate to Camping's network of radio stations, Family Radio, when she died on May 2nd 2010, CNN Money reported.
Her family believe that she would not have made this move had she lived to see that doomsday did not occur on May 21st this year, as devout Christian Camping predicted and his followers believed.
Ms Schmitt left around $250,000 (£153,000) of her $300,000 estate to Camping and bequeathed the remainder to two of her nieces when she decided to make a will.
"It's just so frustrating because I know there's nothing I can do about it – this man (Harold Camping) is going to get hundreds of thousands of dollars from my aunt. And she wasn't a rich woman," her niece Eileen Heuwetter, said.
This case highlights the importance of informing loved ones of the contents of a will to avoid disputes after the death of the person who write the document.
