melon basket filled with fruits

ingredients

1 honeydew melon
1 kiwi fruit
1 banana
1 orange
red and green grapes
1 lime

 

method

Take a sharp knife and cut across the melon, then cut a strip approximately 3cm apart to create the handle – if you are a young child then get dad to help with this part! Cut a large wedge from either side of the strip. Scoop out the seeds and discard, then scoop out the flesh and cube. Carefully remove any excess flesh around the handle.

Peel and slice the kiwi, banana and orange, place in a bowl with the halved grapes and the melon. Squeeze over the juice of half a lime and stir together.

Pile back into the melon. Serve as a fabulous finish to a Mother’s Day lunch.
