The Hampton Court Palace Flower Show has burst into life on its opening day, with the help of two scantily-clad models.
The Naked Garden was the reason behind the publicity stunt, seen by surprised visitors to one of the UK’s largest and most prominent gardening events. The show garden in question, designed by David Domoney, attempts to bring space, vision and an element of cubism to horticulture.
As well as models dressed in nothing but a bit of foliage, this year’s show also attracted celebrities to promote good causes. Television personality Lorraine Kelly dressed as a boob to raise awareness of breast cancer, while Channel 4’s Embarrassing Bodies doctor, Dawn Harper, took part in a water demonstration which represented the problem of having an overactive bladder.
While gardens representing education, the environment and community efforts took centre stage, the show still appealed to keen gardeners looking for gardening tips for summer. As well as inspiration, visitors can buy plants and flowers, as well as gardening accessories.
