Girl Guiding Anglesey
happy campers thanks to a Community Fund donation of £500
Celebrating 90 years of the movement in Anglesey, Girl Guiding Anglesey took members from units all over the Isle on a camping trip to Lancashire in May 2006. The money that the Community Fund donated helped to pay for transport, site fees and activities over the weekend.
Treasurer Jennifer Molyneux said: "Girl Guiding enables girls and young women to take an active role in society through a range of enjoyable activities.
"At camp, the Guides work together and take responsibility for themselves and others, which gives them life experience and skills. We are really looking forward to this celebratory trip and the girls are busy practising their camping skills. We would like to thank The Co-operative for its kind donation."
