The Wave

On Saturday 5 December 2009, 2,500 members and their families took to the streets for The Wave, calling on world leaders to agree a safe and fair global deal at the UN Climate Summit in Copenhagen.

Three trains and 50 coaches were chartered from 30 locations across the UK – it was the largest mobilisation of members in recent times. Up to 50,000 people in total joined The Wave – the biggest ever climate change march in the UK.

And we’re very proud to say that we are the first and only major business to have mobilised people to march on climate change. So a very big thank you to all of you who took part.
