1. What is your current involvement in The Co-operative?
I have been an active elected member of the Manchester Area Committee for the last two years.
I attend both the Chorlton and Stockport Members meetings each month.

2. What qualifications and/or experience do you possess that are relevant to the position of area committee member?
I have seventeen years experience of serving on the Member Relations and Regional Council of The United Society.

I regularly updated all the training I have received over that period.

I worked for the CWS in the 1960’s; and have retained an involvement with the co-operative since that period.

3. What other qualities would you bring to the role of area committee member?
I have good communication and listen skills along with experience which were used in my employment as a “trainer” of junior managers before my retirement.  I have always worked as a team member in my employment.
I am committed to the Co-operative values and principles.

4. What aspirations do you have for The Co-operative?
We have seen some excellent progress made in the least few years of the United Co-operatives and The Co-operative Group regarding the way we present ourselves to the public, its important that this continues at the same pace.  In the past we have not “shouted” loud enough, at least we are being heard.  An Important part of this continued progress is the membership, and the future involvement of members.
