1. What is your current involvement in The Co-operative?
I am a member of the Altrincham and Sales Members’ Group. I attend Members’ Meetings. I food shop at the Co-op and use the Pharmacy, Travel, Bank and insurance Businesses.

2. What qualifications and/or experience do you possess that are relevant to the position of area committee member?
Degree – Food and Fabric Science Teachers’ certificate. For a number of years I have sat on committees. I am familiar with committee procedures and decision making. I am well integrated into my local community e.g. Mothers’ Union, Chorlton Town Women’s Guild and Trafford Walkers.

3. What other qualities would you bring to the role of area committee member?
I enjoy taking on new challenges. I am an organised and reliable person. I enjoy working with others as part of a team. I like getting involved in community projects. I have a good understanding of Co-operative Values and Principles and try and apply them in everyday life.

4. What aspirations do you have for The Co-operative?
To establish in the minds of the current generation the position of the Co-op as the number one ethical trading establishment who they can trust. To continue encouraging membership and giving these members a voice. To promote our achievements better to appeal to a wider section of Society. To maintain the Community Fund to enhance our involvement within the local community. To show that the Co-op can make a difference.
