1. What is your current involvement in The Co-operative?
Passionate about my community, I am an enthusiastic co-operator and Co-op Party member.
2. What qualifications and/or experience do you possess that are relevant to the position of area committee member?
I have worked in business since I was 21, in sales, HR, Marketing and directorship roles. I have 3 ‘A’ levels and Manchester Business School’s Accelerated Company Expansion Programme. With natural entrepreneurial instincts, my chief skill is making things happen.
I have been a political activist for ten years, joining the Co-op Party in 2001, and have a wide range of campaigning and engagement skills.
3. What other qualities would you bring to the role of area committee member?
I have natural problem-solving skills and thrive as part of a successful team. I am experienced working within committee structures and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. I am a talented organiser who has demonstrated a commitment to customer service throughout my career.
4. What aspirations do you have for The Co-operative?
The Co-operative should be the highest quality retailer in the country, with a deep-entrenched commitment to constantly improving the customer experience. We should strive permanently to improve the quality of our product and deliver value to the customer, valuing staff, suppliers and other stakeholders while maintaining our commitment to ethical trading and democratic structure.
