1. What is your current involvement in The Co-operative?
I am a store manager at the Co-operative Food store, Grasmere. I have also served for the past few months on the North Lancashire and South Cumbria area Committee.

2. What qualifications and/or experience do you possess that are relevant to the position of area committee member?
I have 6 GCSE’s and 2 A-Levels in Art and Business Studies. I have worked for the Co-operative Group at store level for eight years and progressed to the level of store manager. During my time with the Society I have learned management, people and communication studies.

3. What other qualities would you bring to the role of area committee member?
I work well under pressure, I am target oriented and have trained and developed individual people as well as a whole store team. I bring a natural creativity and loyalty, I have strong values and principles which are mirrored in how the Society approaches business.

4. What aspirations do you have for The Co-operative?
I am encouraged by the steps the Society has made in the last few years and I see it taking a more visible stand in the retail market. I strongly believe that, that which makes us different is our strongest asset.
