I’ve been employed for the past 14 years, currently as a Business Information Manager within Healthcare and co-opted to the North Midlands Area Committee.

2. What qualifications and/or experience do you possess that are relevant to the position of area committee member?
I have a comprehensive knowledge of financial and management information which needs to be understood to successfully hold a committee position. I’ve worked at both Branch and Head Office locations and have a good knowledge of our values, principles and ethics.

3. What other qualities would you bring to the role of area committee member?
Working for many different divisions such as Food, Petrol, Healthcare and IT, has given me a good understanding of the issues experienced by our colleagues and where collaboration can return benefits. Co-operative values, principles and ethics are at the heart of everything I do.

4. What aspirations do you have for The Co-operative?
I will try to ensure that the Co-operative continues to prosper, while ensuring we do not neglect our local community involvement. We should be at the forefront of national campaigns which are driven by our ethics and not be afraid to shout and promote our involvement. We should ensure the consumer experience is consistent across all our business and ensure membership is involved within community projects.
