ingredients 400g pack The Co-operative lean beef steak mince 50g mature cheddar cheese, sliced little gem lettuce leaves 2 The Co-operative vine tomatoes, sliced 4 tbsp hot chilli and jalapeño relish – or relish of your choice 4 The Co-operative Football Rolls, split |

method
Mix the mince in a large mixing bowl and season to taste. Shape into 4 large burgers, place on a board, cover and chill for at least 30 minutes or until required (up to 24 hours).
Preheat the grill to medium and line the grill pan with foil. Alternatively preheat the barbecue until the coals are white.
Grill the burgers for 10–15 minutes until thoroughly cooked to your liking, turning regularly. Top with the cheese and grill for a further minute until bubbling.
To serve, top the base of each bap with the lettuce, add the burger and top with cheese, tomatoes and relish and serve with the lid on.
