What is hayfever?

Hayfever is an allergic reaction to grass or tree pollens and is a very common condition in the UK. It is most common in early spring and throughout summer but this will depend on which type of pollen you have an allergy to.

Symptoms of hayfever are sometimes compared to the symptoms of a cold. The pollen creates an allergic reaction which causes the following symptoms:

•  Sneezing attacks
• Itchy, watery and bloodshot eyes
• Itchy mouth and throat
• Headaches
• Congestion
