Whatever allergen is bothering you, your
Co-operative Pharmacy team is here to help. Some of our branches offer an Allergy Check service that can help find out what triggers your allergies.

Find your nearest Co-operative Pharmacy branches offering this service. Pop in and see our Co-operative Pharmacist's private consultations for a reliable and convenient Allergy Check which only takes about half an hour and is carried out in branch.

Do you have any of these symptoms?

Allergic reactions can produce a wide range of symptoms from mild itching to wheezing. These are some of the most common symptoms:

• Sneezing or an itchy, runny or congested nose
• Irritable airways, coughing tight chest, wheezing or shortness of breath
• Itchy, watery or inflamed eyes
• Itchy skin with rashes, wheals or welts
• Swelling
• Congested sinuses and headache
• Disturbed sleep

Taking the Allergy Check

If you decide to take the Allergy Check we will:

• Take a drop of blood from your finger
• Measure the allergy antibody Immunoglobin E (IgE)
• Your results will usually be available in around 30 minutes.

Alternatively pick up a leaflet in your nearest participating branch. You will need to complete the form before taking the Allergy Check. 

After your screening

You’ll be given results, information and advice to help you manage your allergy and symptoms. Ask a member of your Co-operative Pharmacy team for more details.
