Tackling Loneliness Together
End of partnership report
This report marks the end to what has been an incredible journey.
In 2015 the Co-op and British Red Cross set out to challenge common perceptions and expose and tackle the widespread impacts of loneliness. Now, five years on, this report demonstrates how our achievements have been far reaching. Together we have directly supported 12,000 people experiencing loneliness across the UK and elevated the issue of loneliness as one of utmost importance in society.
Our work has led to the creation of the government’s first ever loneliness strategy and the appointment of the world’s first Minister for Loneliness. Our research continues to be a touchstone for those seeking information on the causes of loneliness and how to overcome it and the legacy of our work to tackle loneliness lives on.
