I would like my children to inherit a more ethical and environmentally conscientious world. I believe we should celebrate our nation’s increasing renewable energy production, our high quality farming and our variety of locally produced food products. The co-operatives traditional conservative values are a role model for sustainable business. My vision is to expand the UK’s co-operative ethos, structure and brand globally. I truly believe the local Co-op can make the world a better place.

My career is predominantly in banking, insurance and other financial / legal services in the City of London.

My early career was underwriting in the Lloyds of London insurance market which, back then, was run as a mutual organisation.

One of my specialisations is developing long term sustainable business into new markets. I've led London and European banking operations into new global markets.

Often banking and ethical business expansion can be a catalyst for more equal wealth distribution, particularly in developing nations.
