Skills and experience

I have served on the Scotland and NI Regional Board and I am a past Chair of Co-operative Press. I am well known to many members of the National Members’ Council and I will be able to advance the cause of greater co-operative development in NI. I helped to found the Housing Association Movement and I established the Lagan Navigation Trust to restore Waterways from Belfast to the Shannon.

Additional information

A former teacher I graduated from QUB with a BA followed by an MA and Diploma in Education. As the Chief Executive of The Federation of Housing Associations I was made a Corporate Member of the Chartered Institute of Housing. I am keenly interested in Urban Renewal, Historic Buildings, Rural Development and cross border development. I am a board member of the Society of Co-operative Studies in Ireland.
