Fairer for our planet

As a co-op we recognise the climate emergency and the impact this is having on our communities and our planet.

That’s why in 2021 we published our Climate Plan and have since focused on delivering our plan and getting our business in a position to meet our climate targets.

As a retailer we know that our biggest environmental impacts will come from changes to the way we source our ingredients, taking action on the recyclability of packaging, plastic pollution and the reduction of food waste and that’s why we’ve already managed to reduce our plastic footprint by 24.2%.

In 2022 we were recognised with the Queen’s Award for Enterprise for Sustainable Development and during 2022 have continued to invest and prioritise climate change mitigation.
