Shouldn’t we be leading change? Shouldn’t we be pushing boundaries? Sure, we undoubtedly show a better way of doing business, but we can do more. We are The Co-op; The Pioneers. Let’s campaign, let’s lead. After five years in the food business I understand what the Co-op means to our members. If elected I will stand for change, I will stand for pushing those boundaries. If elected, I will stand up for our Co-operative roots.

Shouldn’t we be leading change? Shouldn’t we be pushing boundaries? Sure, we undoubtedly show a better way of doing business, but we can do more. We are The Co-op; The Pioneers. Let’s campaign, let’s lead. After five years in the food commercial team I understand what The Co-op means to colleagues and I understand what The Co-op means to our members. I also understand the commercial constraints we can be put under.

There is so much we can be at the forefront of. So much we can campaign for. The oceans are full of plastic, full of packaging waste. There is far too much of it on our shelves. This can change. And if it did? Imagine if Coca Cola followed. Imagine the environmental impact that could have. That’s pioneering. We must be the ones that force change.

In 1844 The Rochdale Pioneers ripped up the rule book and offered people another choice. A better choice. You may think I’m showing a very idealistic view. But what if The Pioneers felt like that? That better choice may not exist today.

If elected I will stand for change, I will stand for pushing those boundaries. If elected, I will stand up for our Co-operative roots.
