Skills and experience
Working in the Co-op’s Food Policy team gives me a strong sense of what makes us uniquely Co-op as an ethical business. I believe in our colleagues being answerable to the people that shop with us, and want to ensure that member voices are at the forefront as we Renew our Co-op. Additional information
I also recognise the importance of stronger communities and am incredibly proud of how we have supported local causes across the country. Before joining the Co-op, I worked for the charity FareShare where I helped roll out an award-winning scheme to get supermarkets to donate more surplus food to charities and communities all over the North West. This gave me a first hand insight into the challenges facing the voluntary sector and the vulnerable people it supports in the region. I would utilise this knowledge and champion similar local causes if elected to the Council.
