Skills and experience

I was a businesswoman for almost 40 years, working with retailers, small and large, training them in Customer Care, Marketing, Strategic Development, Corporate Social Responsibility and Community Engagement. I now want to offer my skills and knowledge to an organisation that I have been a member of for most of my adult life. I admire the Co-op’s business model and its code of ethics, which accords with my own.

Additional information

I have served several times as a company director and have an excellent understanding of the laws of corporate governance. The organisations I still work with have stakeholders, not shareholders, and have a responsibility to return a percentage of their profits to their communities. I advise and train their Boards on their members' roles and responsibilities.
