I am a semi-retired Finance Director of my own company and a former Chairperson of a national bakers buying Co-operative with a turnover of £130 Million. I am fair minded, driven, and hardworking and believe in Fairtrade and socialist values. I am married and have 3 children and 4 grandchildren. I was born in Saddleworth and have lived in the area for most of my life.

Additional information

I left Saddleworth School with 4 GCSE's, went to Hollings College in Manchester and Manchester University and graduated in Business Finance. I joined the family catering business at 21 and have now become semi-retired after building it into one of the best known catering and baking businesses in the area.

I am a past President of the National Association of Master Bakers and for 34 years I was a director and latterly chairperson of a Bakers Buying co-operative.

I was Deputy Chairman of Oldham East Community Liaison Committee for 5 years and a past President of the Air Training Corp.
