Gen Z(ero) report

The Co-op Foundation, working alongside Co-op, has commissioned research to understand how young people perceive the transition to Net Zero and its impact on their lives, as well as their views on creating a greener, cleaner and fairer future.
This report draws on insights from more than 1,000 young people aged 16–24 polled between May and August 2023.
Research partners Basis Social and Livity also delivered a week-long online community involving 44 young people from diverse backgrounds across the UK, as part of the research.
This study was designed to engage young people who may not typically participate in research, using innovative approaches including influencer-led communications to explain Net Zero and a chatbot-enabled survey.
