Update on The Co-operative's beef contamination test results
21 February 2013
The independent tests, commissioned by The Co-operative Group, have now been completed, and have proven negative for horse DNA in all (100%) of the own-brand minced beef products tested.
A spokesperson for The Co-operative said:
“We commissioned stringent independent testing on our own-brand products containing minced beef, as agreed with the Food Standards Agency.
“The results have shown that no further products tested have been found to contain horse DNA.”
