Bridgwater (Somerset) Co-op re-launches following major investment to ‘transform’ community store

Bridgwater Co-op re-launches and welcomes the community back into the new-look store following an eight-week investment programme.
Located in the Redgate Centre, Bridgwater, (Somerset), the store offers a fresh new shopping experience for the community, with opening hours now extended to 7am-10pm, seven days a week.
The investment programme has transformed the Bridgwater store, new refrigeration cuts energy consumption and supports Co-op’s carbon reduction goals while enhancing the range and choice of fresh and chilled products. An in-store bakery and Costa Coffee Express are available, alongside Co-op’s meal deals and food to go; hot food; Fairtrade products; ready meals and meal ideas – including its new Mexican-inspired ‘Served’ range - pizzas; fresh meats and dairy; chilled beers and wines, fresh flowers and, everyday essentials.
Convenient parcel collection services are available at the store via Amazon and InPost Lockers and, DPD. The online home delivery of groceries is offered via Deliveroo, Just Eat, Uber Eats and Co-op’s own online shop – shop.coop.co.uk – with orders picked fresh in the local store and delivered quickly and conveniently in the community.
Additional services include payment services via PayPoint; key cutting and a photo booth. With a free ATM providing access to cash in the community.
There are offers, deals and promotions – including Co-op Irresistible pizza and a tub of Häagen-Dazs ice cream for just £5 for Members - throughout the store. Member price savings create additional value for Co-op members who can save more with lower prices on the essential products shoppers buy most.

Soft plastic recycling is available in store - making it easier for shoppers to return and recycle materials that are often not universally accepted via household kerbside recycling, such as crisp packets and bread bags, lids from ready meals, biscuit wrappers and, pet food pouches.
