Pickering Co-op

Located in Market Place, Pickering, the store relaunches with a fresh new look and enhanced range to enhance the shopping experience.

New refrigeration cuts energy consumption while increasing the range and choice of fresh and chilled products, and a new Costa Coffee Express machine now also dispenses chilled drinks. This sits alongside Co-op’s bakery; meal deals and food to go; Fairtrade products; ready meals; pizzas; fresh meats and dairy; chilled beers and wines, fresh flowers and, everyday essentials.

Co-op has a focus on creating stores which are a hub locally, conveniently serving the community with added services at Pickering including parcel collections through Amazon, DPD and a new InPost Locker; Photo-booth; Rug Doctor; payment services provided in store via PayPoint and, ATM’s providing access to cash in the community.

There are offers, deals and promotions throughout the store, and member price savings creating additional value for Co-op members who can save more with lower prices on those essential products that shoppers buy most.

Co-op is committed to backing British agriculture, with all of its own fresh and frozen meat 100% British – including in its pies, sandwiches and ready meals.

Beth Coddington, Co-op Area Manager, said: "We’re delighted to invest in Pickering, and proud to be part of local community life. We work to ensure our stores are a hub locally, with a focus on offering quality products, value and choice that can be enjoyed by everyone. This sits alongside added services including Costa Coffee, parcel collections; payment services and more. We would really like to thank the community for all their support during the works, the store has been transformed and the whole team is really looking forward to welcoming our members and customers into the store now the works are concluded - we’re here to serve and support the community.”

Soft plastic recycling is available in store - making it easier for shoppers to return and recycle materials that are often not universally accepted via kerbside recycling, such as crisp packets and bread bags, lids from ready meals, biscuit wrappers and, pet food pouches.
