Co-op re-launches its Chelston store today (Friday, 22 March) with a fresh new-look following a near six-week programme of works to transform the store.

The 2,700 sq ft convenience store, located on Walnut Road, Chelston, opens between 7am-10pm daily, and supports 18 local jobs.

Chelston’s Co-op includes an in-store bakery, hot food, Costa Coffee Express machine, customer car parking and a free ATM to provide access to cash in the community.

Parcel collection services are available through Amazon Lockers and, DPD, for added ease and convenience.

The online home delivery of groceries is available through Deliveroo; Just Eat and Uber Eats with orders picked fresh in the local store, and delivered quickly and conveniently in the community.

Co-op’s new-look store has a focus on fresh, healthy produce; meal ideas; everyday essentials; food-to-go; Fairtrade products, flowers, chilled beers and award-winning wines; ready meals, pizzas and, free-from, vegan and plant-based products.

A soft plastic recycle unit is also available in store to enable the community to recycle ‘soft plastics’ including: crisp packets and bread bags, lids from ready meals and yogurt pots, biscuit wrappers and, pet food pouches - ensuring all Co-op’s own food packaging is recyclable through local authority kerbside collections, or the in-store recycling unit.
