Co-op Legal Services go the extra mile for Headway Bristol
08 June 2018
Co-op Legal Services has raised over £1,600 to support local charity, Headway Bristol.
Seven Colleagues from Bristol-based Co-op Legal Services completed a 60km night walk along the Cotswold Way to raise money for the charity which provides support to survivors of brain injuries and their families to maximise quality of life, independence and self-esteem.
The hike, which started at 11pm on Friday 25th May, took the team just over 16 hours to complete.
Tracey Moloney, Head of Family Law at Co-op Legal Services commented:
“As a team we decided we wanted to do something bold and challenging to really push ourselves and raise money for a worthy cause. It was a long, and very tough, night but the fact that we’ve been able to raise over £1,600 for such a worthy charity definitely made the challenge worthwhile.”
Clio Khan from Headway Bristol added:
“Headway Bristol are delighted to have a team of Headway Heroes at Co-op Legal supporting us for a second year, raising funds and awareness for our vital services to brain injury survivors, their families and carers in the local community. The challenge they took on was tough, and giving up a bank holiday to support us demonstrates their dedication to the cause.
“We couldn’t offer our vital services or reach as many families in crisis without the support of our phenomenal and dedicated supporters.”
