Co-op serves-up new-look Pilgrims Hatch (Brentwood, Essex) store

Co-op has served-up a new-look store today (Friday, 25 November) in Pilgrims Hatch, Brentwood, following a near three month programme of works to extend and improve the store.
Located in Harewood Road, Pilgrims Hatch, the new-look store will open between 7am-10pm daily and supports 15 local jobs.
Post Office service are available at the store, along with customer car parking, a free ATM - to provide access to cash in the community; Fairtrade coffee dispenser - known as Ever Ground and, bakery goods. This sits alongside an enhanced range, choice and focus on fresh, healthy products; meal ideas; everyday essentials; food-to-go; chilled beers and award winning wines; ready meals and pizzas and, free-from; vegan and plant-based products – including Co-op’s exclusive vegan range, GRO.
For added ease and convenience, Deliveroo grocery delivery is available, along with the Click & Collect of groceries through Co-op’s own online shop, shop.coop.co.uk
A funding boost is provided locally through Co-op’s Membership programme. Membership of Co-op unlocks additional value through in-store offers and exclusive deals. It sees Members rewarded with 2p in every pound they spend on Co-op branded products which is added to their own personal Membership account balance. In addition, Co-op also donates the same amount to local causes and community organisations.
Co-op’s soft plastic recycle unit is also available in store to enable the community to recycle ‘soft plastics’ including: crisp packets and bread bags, lids from ready meals and yogurt pots, biscuit wrappers and, pet food pouches – a move which also means that all Co-op’s own food packaging is recyclable. Compostable carrier bags are also available for shoppers who forget their reusable bags.
Students who are TOTUM cardholders – the new name for NUS extra – receive a 10% discount off groceries at Co-op.
