A Southampton Co-op re-launches with a fresh new-look and enhanced range and choice following a 12-week programme of improvements.

The Bassett Green Road store – which supports 14 local jobs - has been ‘transformed’ with a brand new look and layout and is welcoming members and customers back into the local store.

An extensive range includes hot food, Costa Coffee Express; bakery; fresh and healthy products; food-to-go and meal deals; Fairtrade goods; pizzas; flowers; ready meals, award winning wines and beers and, everyday essentials. Building works provided new flooring and ceiling, along with the latest refrigeration which not only cuts Co-op’s carbon footprint, but also enhances the store’s fresh, chilled and frozen range. Other services include National Lottery and, payment services via PayPoint.

The online home delivery of groceries is offered through Deliveroo, Just Eat and Uber Eats – orders are picked fresh in the local store and delivered quickly and conveniently locally, often in as little as 60 minutes or less. Plus, parcel collection services are coming soon via an InPost Locker, along with Amazon and DPD pickup.

The store is one of 50 new or refurbished stores Co-op is opening during November and December across the UK.

Member price savings create additional value for Co-op members who can save more with personalised offers, deals and promotions and, lower prices on the products shoppers buy most.

Co-op is committed to backing British agriculture, with all of its fresh and frozen meat 100% British – including in its pies, ready meals and sandwiches.

Soft plastic recycling is also available in store, making it easier for shoppers to return harder to recycle materials such as crisp packets and bread bags, lids from ready meals, biscuit wrappers and, pet food pouches.
