Co-op serves-up new store in Wymondham,

A new Co-op store has launched today (Thursday, 27, January) to serve the community in Wymondham following a £500,000 investment creating 13 local jobs.

The new purpose-built Co-op store, located in Silfield Road, Wymondham, is approaching 2,500 sq. ft. and opens between 7am-10pm daily.

Co-op's new store will serve-up a bakery, Costa coffee dispenser, and a free ATM alongside a focus on fresh, healthy products, meal ideas, food-to-go, award winning wines, ready meals and pizzas, free-from, vegan and plant-based products and, everyday essentials. There is also free customer car parking.

The store also has self-service tills for added ease, speed and convenience, and offers compostable carrier bags instead of single-use plastic bags for shoppers who forget their reusable bag.

A funding boost is provided locally through Co-op’s Membership programme. Membership of the Co-op unlocks additional value through in-store offers, and sees Members rewarded with 2p in every pound they spend on Co-op branded products which is added to their own personal Membership account balance. The Co-op also donates the same amount to local causes and community organisations, who currently include: Wymondham Hub community project; Cup-O-T Wellness and Therapy Sessions and, Hingham Cricket Club.

Students in Wymondham who are TOTUM cardholders – the new name for NUS extra – also receive a 10% discount at the Co-op.

The store will operate as a Co-op franchise.
