Co-op shines with RoSPA Gold Award

The Co-op has gained recognition for its commitment to health, safety and wellbeing, achieving Gold status in the internationally-renowned RoSPA Health and Safety Awards.
Presented to Co-op Property at a special ceremony held at ExCeL, London, the award celebrates the highest level of achievement in health and safety management systems and practices, leadership and, colleague involvement.
Providing the right environment for colleagues and communities is at the core of the Co-op’s culture, and the award recognises the focus of the Property team on: training, policies and governance, systems and support tools, continuous improvement and, strengthening supply chain and contractor relationships.
Andrew Cavanagh, Head of Risk, Health, Safety and Environment, Co-op Property, said: “This recognition highlights the focus placed on health, safety and risk management – it is a fundamental part of our approach and at the core of our culture.
