Ivel Valley School has received a donation from Co-op’s new Biggleswade Distribution Centre to support the school's outdoor learning facilities.
The new depot – which in April announced that it had began making deliveries to Co-op stores in communities across the South East of England – made the £400 donation to help provide equipment for the school’s accessible playground, such as a wheelchair swing and slide.
Joe Creswick, School Principal, said: “We are delighted with the support from the Co-op. The school is always exploring new ways to build links with the community and, to enhance its curriculum - I am confident that the new outdoor equipment will prove to be very popular with our children.”
Bethany Wilson, Community Engagement Manager at Co-op’s new Biggleswade Depot, said: “Co-op is committed to contributing to community life, and making a difference locally. It has been very exciting working to support the development of Co-op’s new distribution centre in Biggleswade, and I am delighted that we have been able to support the Ivel Valley School with its out-of-doors learning and play equipment.”
